The wooden trains outside Herne Hill train station are such a success that they now need a spot of maintenance. They will be disappearing carriage by carriage over the next few weeks so don’t be alarmed if you see bits missing. Please be reassured that Howard from Makerspace will be re-painting them, tightening up the steering wheels, drilling some larger drain holes and replacing missing wheels before returning them.
The trains have had a few incarnations over the years and we hope that by keeping on top of the maintenance, these ones will survive a few more years to come.
