Herne Hill Hustings 2022

** UPDATE 22nd April ** Tickets for attending in person have now sold out but there are tickets for zoom still available. If people are unable to come and they cancel their ticket, there may be some “in person” tickets available periodically.

We are inviting candidates for the local elections to come and hear your views, answer your questions and tell us their priorities at a special hustings in Herne Hill on 28th April, 7pm upstairs at the Baptist Church on Half Moon lane. It is for residents in Herne Hill ward (Lambeth) and Dulwich Village ward (Southwark). Candidates from major parties are already confirmed and we will be inviting independents once they have been announced. The event is free but we are limiting numbers in the Baptist Church Hall and therefore we ask you to register your attendance on Eventbrite. If you prefer to attend remotely then we also have 95 tickets available so you can attend online via Zoom.

Questions can be asked in advance by emailing: info@hernehillforum.org.uk. There will be an opportunity to ask questions on the night. Zoom attendees will not be able to speak but can ask questions in the chat.

COVID Policy

Attendees to the hall are strongly advised to wear masks and to be respectful of others who may wish to socially distance. Numbers in the hall will be restricted.

We also encourage everybody attending to do a lateral flow test on the day of the hustings. Please do not attend if your test is positive.

If you have any of the following COVID symptoms you should not attend the venue:

  • runny nose
  • sneezing
  • sore throat
  • cough
  • fever
  • loss of taste or smell

If you have any other respiratory tract infection symptoms please also consider not attending as the person sitting next to you may be vulnerable themselves or have vulnerable relatives.

If you need to cancel your “in-person” ticket, please do so asap so we can offer it to somebody else. You can do this via Eventbrite or by emailing: info@hernehillforum.org.uk. If available, you may be able to order a ticket to attend on Zoom but we cannot guarantee this.

Please note: we may also do random bag checks at the entrance.
