The Herne Hill Forum has been running a Herne Hill Halloween Celebration in Station Square for many years now. This free celebration is a wonderful community event which sees local families come together on the spookiest night of the year for a joy-filled evening of ghosts and ghouls. Everything at the event is free and we have always had a great selection of activities for all ages to enjoy: a ghost trail in local shops, Halloween arts and crafts, decorating scary biscuits, a magician, spooky disco etc. Fundraising has been a real challenge this year and we believe that this event must stay free so we are crowdfunding this year to ensure an inclusive party for everyone so every child can come on down for some fantastic frightening fun!
We are asking for donations, no matter how small, so that we can put on this event in 2023. You can donate as much or as little as you like on our Crowdfunding page: www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/hernehillforum-halloween-2023.
Thank you for your support and please pass the message on.
** UPDATE SEPT **
Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve reached our first Crowdfunder goal for the Herne Hill Halloween 2023 Celebration in Herne Hill! Special thanks to Lambeth Council who pledged a fang-tastic £1,500.
We now need to gather a horde of helpers for the event! There is set-up to be done (3-5pm), spooky stalls to be run (5-7pm) and ghastly cleanup (7-8pm), we promise it’s fun!
If you’d like to volunteer, mail us at info@hernehillforum.org.uk and help make this Halloween a night for the little ghosts and ghouls to remember.
And finally – we are leaving the Crowdfunder cauldron open, as the more we raise, the more spectacular we will be able to make the celebrations. If you didn’t already, please do circulate the link.
