About the artist

Max A Rush is probably the only professional landscape photographer working exclusively on London's parks.  His work shows our familiar open spaces and landmarks in the most atmospheric light and weather, capturing the passage of the seasons in a way never before seen in London.  Having produced an extensive and portfolio of photographs of his local Brockwell Park (exhibited in 2011, Brockwell Hall and Carnegie Library gallery) he is now concentrating on similar projects in Dulwich (Dulwich and Sydenham Hill Woods and Dulwich Park) Clapham Common, Crystal Palace and a number of other locations.  These images of South London have now reached a large audience, both in the photographic community and increasingly in the media.  In 2012 his south London work was represented in both the Landscape Photographer of the Year and the Garden Photographer of the Year awards, the latter currently on show in Kew Gardens.  Books of both competitions are now available.  In the local press his Brockwell Park photographs were the subject of two separate features and covers in Living South magazine in 2011, and one in the South London Press.
