Hello all musical aficionado's

Ok, last weekend  Brixton ran their 'Oxjam take over' event - I'm sure some of you made it down and and got a flavour of what it's all about -  by all accounts it was a roaring success.

This week its Herne Hill's turn. It might not be on the same scale as our neighbours but that doesn't mean to say there are no tasty musical treats in store.

There are 5 bands plugging in their guitars and turning up to somewhere near eleven. Three of them are making the  trecherous trip down from Glasgow you know - The Halfmoon have ordered two cases of Irn Bru to meet potential demand

There will also be a world class violinst... and a mystical cow. If its a eclectic evening you're after then pop your head in. The first band kicks off at 8.30pm sharp and its live music all the way to midnight. The DJs will then take stage for a few hours of decent sounds.

Local business has also been getting involved which means we have some great prizes for the raffle too. Come on.. don't tell me you dont love a raffle.

So, its all in the Halfmoon and its £6 on the door. If you have never  listened to live music in 'The Moon' then I  give it a try, it's a cracking live music venue sneaked away at the back. The Rollling Stones have played there you know.
