The Herne Hill Music Festival takes a day off on Sunday but returns on Monday Oct 15th at Herne Hill United Church (Red Post Hill) with Verity and Giles Thirkettle as The Versatile Duo (great name as they are so versatile!)  ... they'll be performing a wide range of works, including: Deberio Violin Duets, Wieniawsky, Bach Double, plus popular & jazz selections. John Thirkettle will be in the house to provide accompanying piano.

Talented duo (trio some of the time, really, if you count John) truly worth seeing - Verity is a multiple award winner and has played in some remarkable venues, from the Albert Hall to Southwark Cathedral and the Wigmore Hall. She also teaches music and doubles on harp - and Giles is also a music teacher! He has performed with his own string quartet at many venues in Scotland and has toured in Italy and Slovenia! Miss them at your peril!
