Herne Hill Music Fest Day 4 Recap - Versatile Duo very versatile & the Tudes set for Day 5!

Verity Thirkettle is one half of the Versatile Duo and has a pretty heavy duty track record. Due to sudden illness Verity was absent last night would Versatile's Festival performance at Herne Hill United Church. So how did this play out? Quite well, actually! Versatile's other half, Giles Thirkettle, came out firing on all cylinders playing solo, along with John Thirkettle on accompanying piano, and to an adjusted programme. The Tremendous Thirkettles! After the show, Festival MD Alan tweeted "Excellent concert by the Versatile Duo." He also took this photo! Alan's little writeup this morning: "The Versatile Duo were without one of their performers, Verity Thirkettle last night, and so there quickly replaced their planned programme of violin duos and violin and harp music with a programme of violin and piano music, and very enjoyable it was too. Try versatility."

He also tweeted last night: "Princes in the Tower - Tudor minstrels - are on Tuesday night at the Carnegie Library".

We've just seen one of the Princes' Tudor Tweets:

@princesinthetow Tuesday. The Tudes play at the library-the perfect Autumn venue.A lovely autumn library- all oaky and vaguely melancholic
