New beginner Pole Fit course begins at the Lido
Location
Two new beginner Pole Fit courses start at the Lido on Thurs 2nd June (from 6:15-7:45pm) and Fri 3rd June (from 8pm-9.30pm) taught by Beccie Savidge. The course runs for 6 weeks. Course cost is £120 for the six weeks and each lesson will last for 90 minutes. Pole Fit is an exercise and dance class incorporating the use of a pole. It improves flexibility, muscle tone and general fitness.
There will be 8 poles set up, with a maximum of 12 students in each class. This means that each student will be spending a minimum of 45 minutes on a pole (which we're told is exhausting!). Beccie will teach you how to climb, spin, and spin links - in various styles to suit all tastes.
Each class will feature an hour on the pole and the last 30 minutes doing a dynamic and calorie bashing stretching routine. The aim of the routine is to deeply improve your posture, your flexibility to prevent sporting injuries, and to get you down towards the splits ... great for a summer party trick!
There are few places left on the Thursday and Friday slots, so if the dates and times suit you and you would like to first try out pole dancing (a taster for free) please feel to contact Beccie on 07908 122855. There should also be a second set of 6 week classes after the first, starting in July. Tasters are currently at Beccie's premises in Herne Hill, but hopefully will be moving to the Lido soon. You can also find signup sheets for tasters in the Lido lobby.
