(@32x32C).jpg) | more facts on the air!!!
What about a campaign?? Dust, rubble, soot!!! Wot about 'tight est tarpauline award ' on lorries?? stop all the dust..................Just like that !!!
Wot about 'idling' cars and lorries...Wot about a 'good behavoir award' for the 'best' lorry cpompanies. My lorry neighbours in Herne Place (Railton Road)Rangescope and GSE Skips are trying hard and win I think already!!!!!
mind you they have a horrid neighbour like me!!!
|
(@32x32C).jpg) | I agree with you about the dust problem; I face a veritable Tsunami of dust on a weekly basis.
What I can't understand is why people purchase properties in areas of light industry and expect rapid change. Maybe you could join forces with the A J Bull lobby, as they seem to have been active for a long time. |
(@32x32C).jpg) | I don,t expect 'any change'............My street has changed from light industrial to INDUSTRIAL.............It seems to be a Lambeth Council policy. I accept that. UK is the dirtiest country in Europe, obviously governemnt policy...what can you do about that !!!
.It is o.k. I have the help of the head of housing from a council 'up north'. They have many ways, many technical departments as people 'up north' have been living cheek by jowel with 'INDUSTRY ' for years...........
I know the AJ Bull people well, most have have moved |
(@32x32C).jpg) | has anyone mentioned an environmental impact assessment? I seem to remember that from air traffic campaigning days.
The A J Bull people were local residents in a clearly residential area affected by the erection of a rubbish processing plant opened up before their very eyes!
It seems to me that you are a perfect minature model on which, for example, a university environmental health section could base a study.
Maybe the results of such a study would be of great interest to the residents of neighbouring roads. You talk about airborne diesel combustion products, I think this is of very great interest to environmentalists.
I think that, given that this light industry is taking place close to a school, maybe you would gain some more support? |
(@32x32C).jpg) | Environmental Impact Assessment !!!??? scaffolders!!!skip hirers!!!!,car repairers !!!!Herne Place ? Now that would be AMAZING!!!! Like changing from Mothers Pride white loaf to unleaven wholemeal soda bread perhaps. The 'only' Health and Safety inspection EVER since 1993 was in November 2009.15 residents of Regent Road,Herne Hill House Hurst Street, and Railton Road petitioned Lambeth Environmental Health(.By the way Health and Safety Lambeth 'do not inspect car repairers'. What good that did!!
The fire brigade were efficient anyway...they took away the oxycetelene gas canisters stored next to the drum fire that burn,t each day....get the picture..Apart from that?
V.O.S.A a government org.for HGV operators is sposed to do an 'environmental impact assessment' seem to have forgot. The parents of St.Judes primary scool are concerned but I believe are more worried by lorries in a road their children share.
Any scientists about?

(@32x32C).jpg) | If you want to run a campaign, have a good model.
Investigate and use the council's complaints process. There are several stages to go through before you exhaust the complaints process,
Next stop the Ombudsman.
Get examples of good models from, FoE or other campaigners.
Try the Health & Safety Executive?
|
(@32x32C).jpg) | on it. My complaint against lambeth Environmental health is at stage 3,have just put in a complaint of 'maladministration' ,to Local Gov Ombudsman bias Lambeth Envirionmental Health. The Health and safety executive said that as companies area one man band they cannot inspect.I feel a song coming on!!!! |
