Fagin's Last Hour
Location
Hot on the heals of last year's record-breaking box office hit, 'A Christmas Carol - As told by Jacob Marley (deceased)', multi award-winning actor/writer and London Theatre Award Nominee, James Hyland (recent recipient of Best Performer in Theatre 2012 – Fringe Report Awards), returns with 'Fagin’s Last Hour'; based on the novel 'Oliver Twist' this May.
Charles Dickens’ classic tale of crime and punishment, is stunningly re-imagined in this powerful new stage adaptation. Told from the point of view of Fagin the Miser, one hour before his execution, this unique one-man show offers a fresh insight into literature’s most controversial villain.
"James Hyland presents another spellbinding show... Hyland plays all of the characters skillfully and convincingly giving, as Dickens undoubtedly intended, a glimpse into the nineteenth century criminal underworld... This new and original approach to Dickens will appeal to scholars and the uninitiated alike and could even lead to a revival of interest in the author... Being an inveterate showman himself, Charles Dickens would thoroughly approve." Graham Smith, The Dickens Fellowship.
