Brockwell Park hedge planting continues in the New Year - Volunteer! 11am - 3pm
Until Thursday 10th January 2013 11am - 3pm ; Cressingham Ridge
Planting of almost 800 metres of native hedgerow along the Cressingham ridge on the western side of Brockwell Park continues in 2013, with volunteer sessions taking place Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout January and February. This weeks volunteering sessions are on the 9th and 10th of January!
This hedge will be the longest, newly planted hedgerow in Lambeth!
Funding from Biff Award and Veolia Environmental Trust has enabled Brockwell Park Community Partners with the Trust for Conservation Volunteers to make this happen.
Hawthorn, Cherry plum, Hornbeam, Field Maple, Spindle, Dog rose and more will provide food and nesting sites for birds whilst supporting bees, butterflies, small mammals, amphibians and insects plus an all year round colourful hedgerow for park visitors to enjoy.
If you would like to get involved in helping to prepare and plant this very special hedgerow then do join us. Contact: thoare@lambeth.gov.uk

Lambeth and LJAG are also working on a masterplan for the whole of the Loughborough Junction area. We have appointed architects DSDHA as our masterplanners and they will be on hand to start the big conversation about the future of Loughborough Junction.
